Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paro

  • Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our representative.
  • Transfer to your hotel and check-in.
  • In the evening, take a leisurely stroll around Paro town and visit the local markets.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 2: Paro Sightseeing

  • After breakfast, visit the iconic Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery, one of Bhutan’s most famous landmarks.
  • Enjoy a scenic hike to reach the monastery, perched on a cliffside 900 meters above the Paro Valley.
  • Return to Paro town for lunch.
  • In the afternoon, visit the National Museum of Bhutan and Paro Rinpung Dzong.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 3: Transfer to Thimphu

  • After breakfast, drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan.
  • En route, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang to admire the traditional iron bridge.
  • Upon arrival in Thimphu, check-in at your hotel and relax.
  • In the evening, explore Thimphu town and visit the Tashichho Dzong, the seat of the Bhutanese government.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu Sightseeing

  • Start your day with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a prominent Buddhist stupa.
  • Explore the Buddha Dordenma (Buddha Point) for panoramic views of Thimphu Valley.
  • Visit the Takin Preserve to see Bhutan’s national animal, the Takin.
  • After lunch, visit the Folk Heritage Museum and the Textile Museum to learn about Bhutanese culture and traditions.
  • Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Day 5: Transfer to Punakha

  • After breakfast, drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan.
  • En route, stop at Dochula Pass (3,100 meters) to enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayas and visit the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang.
  • Continue your journey to Punakha and visit Punakha Dzong, one of the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 6: Punakha Exploration

  • After breakfast, hike to Chimi Lhakhang, also known as the “Temple of Fertility.”
  • Visit Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Punakha Valley.
  • In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the terraced rice fields of Punakha Valley.
  • Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day 7: Transfer to Phobjikha Valley

  • After breakfast, drive to the picturesque Phobjikha Valley, known for its stunning landscapes and as the winter home of the rare Black-necked Crane.
  • Visit the Gangtey Monastery, perched on a ridge overlooking the valley.
  • Take a nature walk in the valley to observe the natural beauty and wildlife.
  • Overnight stay in Phobjikha Valley.

Day 8: Phobjikha Valley Exploration

  • Spend the day exploring Phobjikha Valley.
  • Visit the Black-necked Crane Information Centre to learn about the conservation efforts for these magnificent birds.
  • Enjoy birdwatching and hiking in the valley.
  • In the evening, immerse yourself in Bhutanese culture with a traditional dinner and cultural performance.
  • Overnight stay in Phobjikha Valley.

Day 9: Transfer to Paro

  • After breakfast, drive back to Paro.
  • Upon arrival, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
  • Spend the rest of the day at leisure, exploring Paro town or relaxing at your hotel.
  • Farewell dinner in the evening.
  • Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 10: Departure from Paro

  • After breakfast, transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward journey.
